What you'll do
- Complete pre-operative assessments
- verify procedures, consent forms, patient identification, surgical sites, and documentation
- review test results and communicate abnormal findings
- initiate and maintain peripheral IV access and administer ordered fluids and medications
- reconcile medications
- prepare and educate patients and families
- coordinate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, operating room staff, and PACU nurses
- recognize changes in patient condition
- complete safety checklists and maintain electronic medical record documentation.

Why this role
Requires an unrestricted Registered Nurse license, current BLS certification, ACLS certification as required by the facility, and strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills. Previous Pre-Op/PACU experience and familiarity with ERAS protocols are preferred.
