The Director of Benefits leads the strategy, design, administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs across a multi-location manufacturing organization. This role oversees health, welfare, retirement, wellbeing, and leave programs to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with business needs. This position partners with HR, Finance, Legal, operations, executive leadership, vendors, consultants, and healthcare providers to enhance the employee experience, manage benefit costs, and support employee health and wellbeing. The role also provides oversight of the onsite employee health clinic in Warroad, Minnesota.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive benefits strategy
• Oversee administration of health, welfare, retirement, wellbeing, leave, and voluntary benefit programs
• Lead annual enrollment strategy
• Manage vendor, broker, consultant, carrier, and third-party administrator relationships
• Provide strategic and operational oversight of the onsite employee health clinic
• Monitor benefits costs, claims trends, utilization, and population health metrics
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and retirement plan regulations
• Partner with legal counsel on compliance matters
• Develop benefits communication and education strategies
• Lead, coach, and develop the benefits team.
