The Nuclear Medicine PET Technologist orders, prepares, and administers radiopharmaceuticals, interacts with physicians, and reviews studies for quality.

What you'll do

• Performs all established nuclear medicine procedures. Performs required calibration and quality checks noting results in appropriate logs, while practicing radiation safety and observe universal precautions at all times. Orders, prepares and stores radiopharmaceuticals
• administers intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physician, as well as administers radioisotopes parenterally when legally permissible. Interacts with physician to adjust diagnostic studies program/plan. Manipulates raw data. Reviews studies for correct positioning and overall quality. Performs decontamination procedures and maintains security of all "hot" and "decay" areas. Participates in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs.
