The Apprentice Technician — Overnight Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaner role is onsite at customer facilities in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Compensation starts at $18–$20, plus a signing bonus. HOODZ of Grand Rapids and West Michigan cleans commercial kitchen exhaust systems to help prevent fires and keep kitchens safe. Working on a two- to three-person crew, the apprentice learns the trade while removing grease from restaurant exhaust and ventilation systems. The work helps customers maintain clean systems and supports fire prevention through thorough, safety-focused cleaning.

What you'll do

• Degrease and polish restaurant exhaust and ventilation systems from kitchen to roof
• set up job sites to HOODZ standards
• power wash and clean using specialized tools and techniques
• inventory, stock, load, and unload vehicles
• drive work vehicles to client facilities.
