The Director, Gastroenterology role is onsite in Brooklyn, NY. Compensation is $406,000 annually in base salary; additional compensation may be available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. The role supports the Gastroenterology division at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, whose mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to New Yorkers regardless of ability to pay. This position provides clinical leadership and operational oversight while coordinating care for patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions. It also advances the division’s clinical and academic work through patient care, endoscopic procedures, quality improvement, program development, and teaching and mentorship.

What you'll do

• Lead and oversee Gastroenterology division operations
• maintain patient-care quality and regulatory compliance
• support program development, strategic planning, and service-line growth
• supervise and mentor physicians, advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents
• provide inpatient consults and outpatient clinic coverage and participate in GI on-call coverage
• evaluate and treat gastrointestinal disorders
• perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• interpret diagnostic studies
• coordinate care with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
