The Elementary Paraprofessional position is onsite in Eldorado Springs, CO, supporting an elementary intensive learning center for students with autism. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. The part-time schedule is approximately 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on student attendance days, with two or three training days during the year. Pediatric Developmental Services supports schools and communities with qualified educators and pediatric therapists. The paraprofessional helps students with disabilities participate safely in school and transit routines, supports individual needs, and assists with other school tasks as needed. The role contributes to a safe, orderly learning environment and supports students’ daily care and mobility needs.

What you'll do

• Assist students with disabilities boarding and exiting buses when needed
• ensure students are seated and secured during transit when needed
• support students with mobility challenges, including wheelchairs and mobility aids
• monitor behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment
• assist with personal care if necessary
• follow safety and emergency procedures
• help with other school tasks when needed.
