The Equipment Operator position is onsite at the Mount Vernon Recycling Facility in Mount Vernon, WA, paying $23–$29 per hour depending on experience. Lautenbach Recycling processes recyclable materials at its facility. The operator safely manages material flow using excavators as the primary machine, with loaders and forklifts as needed. The role supports efficient yard operations by handling materials carefully, maintaining equipment, and preparing recyclables for transport or processing.

What you'll do

• Operate excavators and, as needed, loaders and forklifts
• handle materials to prevent equipment and facility damage
• inspect and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment
• load, unload, sort, and stage recyclable materials
• review incoming loads
• prepare materials for transport or processing
• maintain safe, organized work areas
• coordinate movements with spotters, drivers, and team members.

Why this role

Proven excavator operating experience is required. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with clean driving record are preferred.
