What you'll do

  • Coordinate daily patient flow and functions of Nuclear Medicine Services.
  • Assess performance of quality control procedures and documentation.
  • Assure proper receipt, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials.
  • Perform all exams and assume duties of charge technologist in their absence.
  • Order supplies.
  • Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Calibrate equipment.
  • Perform diagnostic exams as prescribed by physician.
  • Use scanners or scintillation cameras to produce images.
  • Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters.
