CDL Class B Driver

CDL Class B Driver for PODS in Ashland City, TN. This is a full-time, onsite position with a pay rate of $26.00 - $26.50 per hour. PODS provides moving and storage solutions. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining excellent rapport.

What you'll do

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers
• Perform daily pre and post trip inspections
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane
• Clean and inspect containers
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts
• Provide backup for storage center functions
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.

What we're looking for

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

High School diploma or equivalent; Valid CDL Class B License Required without air brake restriction; Must maintain a current/valid driver license; Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards; Must be at least 21 years of age; Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate; Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred; Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties; Ability to attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program
