The Senior Embedded Linux Platform Engineer role is onsite in Bulverde, TX; compensation is not specified. The engineer supports development of the embedded software platform powering Futurex’s next-generation Hardware Security Modules (HSMs). The role owns the Linux platform, board support package, security architecture, and hardware interfaces that enable cryptographic applications. By delivering a secure, reliable, production-ready platform and repeatable hardware bring-up, the engineer helps HSM application teams build and release confidently.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain a reproducible Buildroot-based Linux distribution
• customize kernels and device trees
• build board support packages
• integrate drivers, services, bootloaders, and root filesystems
• optimize boot performance and reliability
• support production images and secure updates
• integrate and validate hardware interfaces
• implement and validate secure boot
• support networking and platform bring-up
• create diagnostics and manufacturing test support
• document architecture and workflows.
