The Senior Payroll Accountant role is hybrid in Seattle, WA, with annual base compensation of $80,960–$101,200. The role supports Lyft’s Accounting team and payroll accounting across U.S. and North American entities. The role exists to keep payroll accounting accurate, timely, and controlled through journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close activities. It also helps improve recurring processes and supports audit readiness in partnership with Payroll, FP&A, and Accounting colleagues.

What you'll do

• Prepare and book payroll-related journal entries
• prepare payroll, bonus, workers’ compensation, PTO, and commission accruals
• complete month- and quarter-end close activities
• reconcile and analyze payroll general ledger accounts under GAAP
• perform flux analysis
• investigate reconciling items with Payroll and FP&A
• maintain audit-ready records and internal controls
• identify opportunities to streamline or automate close work
• support ad hoc projects.
