CDL A Driver Trainee - Full-Time

The CDL A Driver Trainee is an onsite role based in Weare, NH. The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 per year and supports the supply chain and distribution department at McLane Company, Inc. This role exists to provide comprehensive training and hands-on coaching to individuals with a Class A CDL, preparing them to become successful professional drivers. The trainee will learn to safely operate tractor-trailers, manage delivery documentation, and assist in the efficient transport and unloading of products for various retail and restaurant customers.

What you'll do

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Operates Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH), document delivery receipts/product temperatures and exceptions.
• Rides and trains with Driver Trainer of tractor-trailer to various destinations.
• Assists the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises.
• Provides customer service including on-time delivery of undamaged product, product returns and issuing valid customer credits.
