Mill Operator

The Mill Operator works onsite in Cortland, NY, on a Monday–Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $18–$25 per hour. The role supports production of components to precise specifications at FORKEY Construction & Fabrication. This position sets up, operates, and maintains milling equipment to produce quality parts efficiently and safely. The operator follows drawings and work instructions, checks finished parts, records production and inspection information, and reports equipment or production issues to help limit downtime.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC-controlled or manual milling machines
• read blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• install and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments
• inspect parts with precision measuring tools
• monitor machine performance and adjust as needed
• perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance
• troubleshoot and report issues
• record production and quality information
• maintain a clean and safe work area.
