HVAC Maintenance Technician I

Job overview

The HVAC Maintenance Technician I role is onsite in Gardner, MA, working in customer settings. Pay is $25–$35 per hour, with an opportunity for performance incentives. The technician supports Homeworks Energy’s maintenance of new and existing HVAC equipment. The role installs and maintains HVAC systems, performs preventive maintenance and start-up, tests and troubleshoots equipment, and documents service work. Customer communication, collaboration with installation and project teams, and safety compliance support reliable, efficient system operation.

What you'll do

• Clean HVAC units and perform preventive maintenance
• test systems and identify issues
• start up and calibrate newly installed equipment
• troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components
• commission systems and controls
• explain operation and maintenance to customers
• document service activities and update system records
• collaborate with installation teams, project managers, and customer service
• follow safety policies
• provide input on process improvements.
