What you'll do
- Design building electrical power distribution, lighting, and cabling systems
- assist with client requirements, project management, budgets, schedules, and design reviews
- apply applicable codes and ordinances and coordinate with code officials and design professionals
- evaluate existing lighting, gear, and control systems
- review drawings, schedules, shop drawings, and samples
- coordinate outside consultants
- ensure technical work accuracy and quality
- use computer-assisted engineering design software and equipment
- apply a professional engineering seal to plans and specifications created by the engineer or directly supervised assistants.

Why this role
A Professional Engineer license, at least five years of electrical design experience, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifying experience are required. Revit MEP and AutoCAD proficiency are required; RCDD certification and government or Veterans Affairs experience are preferred. Evening and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
