The Director, Nonclinical Operations role is hybrid in Palo Alto, California. The base salary range is $215,000–$240,000 per year. GondolaBio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics for genetic diseases. Reporting to the Executive Director, Toxicology, the director owns outsourcing strategy and vendor management for nonclinical safety studies. The role builds and oversees the CRO and specialty-vendor network, manages sourcing, contracts, budgets, performance, and compliance, and helps ensure study outputs support development milestones and regulatory submissions.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain preferred-provider networks
• define and execute nonclinical outsourcing strategy
• lead vendor sourcing and proposal evaluation
• negotiate agreements with Legal and Procurement
• benchmark pricing, review invoices, and manage budgets
• monitor study progress and vendor performance
• maintain risk registers and contingency plans
• ensure vendor compliance with GLP and animal welfare requirements
• partner with QA on audits and corrective actions
• deliver study reports and data packages for regulatory submissions
• develop scalable SOPs and oversight tools. Study monitoring, study management, and toxicologist responsibilities may also be assumed as business needs require.
