Curriculum Design Specialist

The Curriculum Design Specialist role is hybrid or telework-eligible, based at U.S. Marshals Service Headquarters in Arlington, VA, with occasional onsite attendance required. Compensation is $80,000–$100,000 per year. The role supports the USMS Asset Forfeiture Division and the Department of Justice mission. The specialist designs and improves competency-based training so workforce learning aligns with organizational goals and operational needs. Working with government stakeholders, subject matter experts, instructors, and evaluators, the role develops curricula, learning objectives, and evaluation approaches and uses feedback and performance data to refine training.

What you'll do

• Assess training needs and competency gaps
• design role-based curricula, learning pathways, and measurable outcomes
• apply ADDIE and adult-learning principles
• evaluate instructional technologies
• analyze learner feedback and performance metrics
• maintain curriculum documentation
• develop train-the-trainer frameworks and facilitator resources
• participate in weekly project meetings.
