System Architect – Secret Clearance

The System Architect works onsite in Edgewood, Maryland, supporting a government client. The stated salary range is $120,000–$145,000 per year. The role supports the Biosurveillance Information Platform and CPE CBRND program architecture. The architect develops and maintains enterprise and system-level architecture and data integration approaches, helping align program capabilities, data workflows, and Command and Control integration. The role connects stakeholders and technical teams, supports acquisition and program documentation, and helps ensure data pipelines and interfaces meet system needs.

What you'll do

• Organize workflows for program architecture, data workflows, and Command and Control integration
• develop and maintain DODAF architectures and data models
• analyze capability gaps and dependencies
• coordinate architecture products with program offices and sponsors
• support acquisition and contract documentation
• translate business features into data integration user stories and acceptance criteria
• define data models, APIs, and ETL/ELT pipelines
• coordinate data mapping, validation, and integration across technical teams
• monitor performance and address integration issues
• provide required status reporting and participate in architecture reviews and touchpoint calls.
