What you'll do

• Prepare food to recipe cards, production requirements, portion standards, and server requests
• verify recipe and use records and presentation
• start advance-preparation items in quantities aligned with estimated needs
• monitor equipment maintenance and clean-as-you-go practices
• date and rotate food containers and maintain proper temperatures
• check pars and prepare shift setup
• report shortages
• assist with buffet stocking
• store unused food safely for the next shift
• help address food-cost issues and control waste
• assist with vegetable and condiment preparation for the next shift.
