CNC Programmer and Machinist

The CNC Programmer and Machinist role is onsite in Clearfield, UT, on a Monday–Friday day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Compensation is not specified. Rock Exotica designs, manufactures, and assembles safety and rescue equipment in Utah. The role programs and supports CNC mills and lathes, develops tooling and fixtures, verifies processes, and trains staff to help meet production goals while supporting safety, quality, and efficient operations.

What you'll do

• Program 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining centers and multi-turret and multi-spindle turning centers
• optimize production runs and macros
• support setups through programming, tooling selection, fixture design, and instructions
• collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers on measurement practices
• train leads, setup technicians, and operators
• qualify programs through validation runs
• design and qualify fixtures
• identify defective parts and implement operational improvements
• maintain a clean and safe work area.
