It contributes to the program’s daily operations by maintaining sanitary food handling, clean work areas, accurate temperature logs, and orderly food inventory.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to planned menus and in sufficient quantities
• store food properly and maintain hot and cold food temperatures
• inspect and clean storerooms, refrigerators, freezers, service areas, and dining rooms
• handle food and maintain temperature logs in accordance with health regulations
• check equipment cleanliness and sanitation
• notify the Food Service Supervisor and issue work orders for repairs or replacement
• assist with ordering, stocking, and inventory
• wash dishes, clean floors, remove trash, and sanitize tables and service areas as needed.

Why this role

A high school diploma and valid state driver’s license and county sanitation certification are required. Related experience or training of three to six months is specified; culinary education and supervisory experience are preferred.
