Adult Family Home Caregiver – 2nd Shift

The Adult Family Home Caregiver works onsite in Onalaska, WI, on the second shift, Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to midnight. Pay is $18–$19 per hour. Chileda’s adult family group home supports individuals with cognitive challenges and behavioral needs. The caregiver helps residents build independent-living skills, participate in community activities, and receive support with daily living. The role also provides positive guidance and uses trained crisis-management techniques to support residents’ well-being and independence.

What you'll do

• Help residents develop independent-living, personal-care, and community-integration skills
• teach life skills such as cooking, socializing, and problem-solving
• participate in community outings and activities
• assist with bathing, grooming, and meals
• use training techniques to manage challenging behaviors
• transport residents to activities and outings.
