The Prototype CNC Mill Machinist (Set Up) – 1st Shift role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with pay of $25–$35 per hour. Challenge Machine is an employee-owned contract machine shop serving semiconductor, medical, and aerospace industries. This role sets up and operates CNC mills to produce customer-specified parts, adjusting programs and equipment as needed and inspecting work for quality. It supports reliable production by following work orders, inspection procedures, ISO and 6S practices, and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC mills using customer prints and specifications and Gibbs CAM programs
• adjust programs and machines as needed
• inspect parts and conduct first-article inspections
• maintain records, equipment, supplies, and a clean work area
• follow work orders, routings, ISO, 6S, and safety procedures
• report faulty equipment or defective materials
• cross-train as needed.
