Head of Business Development is an onsite role in Menlo Park, CA. The annual salary range is $240,000–$340,000. Orca Bio develops next-generation cell therapies intended to improve outcomes and reduce risks for patients. The role leads strategic partnerships and licensing from opportunity sourcing through evaluation, negotiation, execution, and relationship management. It advises executive leadership on market opportunities and partnership strategy while coordinating with scientific, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial teams to advance the pipeline and commercial objectives.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute business development and partnership strategy with the C-suite
• identify and assess partnership opportunities
• conduct scientific, technical, and commercial due diligence
• lead negotiations and structure agreements
• oversee execution and ongoing partner relationships
• build external networks across academia, biotech, pharma, venture capital, and nonprofit sectors
• evaluate intellectual property, clinical validation, competition, regulatory pathways, manufacturing feasibility, and value creation
• present recommendations to executive leadership.
