Medical Laboratory Scientist — Day Shift

The Medical Laboratory Scientist role is onsite in Irving, TX, with compensation of $35.26–$40.29 per hour. The position supports a medical research client’s laboratory operations. The scientist analyzes specimens using approved procedures, reviews and releases results, and maintains accurate testing and quality-control records. The role helps ensure reliable reporting by following laboratory procedures and applicable CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines, and by addressing or escalating issues that could affect test performance.

What you'll do

• Handle and process specimens
• analyze specimens using approved testing procedures
• review and release test results
• maintain proficiency-testing, testing, quality-control, calibration, maintenance, and corrective-action records
• report STAT or critical results
• follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
• identify and address or escalate problems affecting test performance or reporting
• maintain reagent and test-kit records
• participate in training and, if needed, regulatory inspections.
