Job overview
The Flight Operations Crew Chief role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a stated salary range of $90,000–$150,000 per year. This role owns aircraft readiness by preparing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting aircraft, then documenting findings and improving procedures so aircraft can be safely readied for flight.
What you'll do
- Assemble and configure aircraft, connect avionics, set up payloads and ground support equipment, conduct preflight inspections, and determine readiness. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues
- perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- reset aircraft between flights
- maintain tools and hardware control
- keep maintenance records and configuration logs
- share findings with engineering
- improve standard operating procedures.
