Yard Operations Associate

The Yard Operations Associate works onsite in La Grande, OR; pay is $15.55–$25 per hour. The role supports customers and material handling at Miller’s Home Center, part of the TAL Building Centers family of stores, whose stated mission is to help build better communities. The position helps customers locate and load yard materials while maintaining accurate orders and a safe work environment. It also supports stocking, delivery preparation, and coordinated service with the sales and yard teams.

What you'll do

• Greet customers and assess assistance needs
• direct customers to purchased materials and help load safely
• check loaded materials against paid invoices
• communicate with sales and yard teams
• may pull and bundle delivery loads
• learn product types and uses
• operate forklifts and light trucks after training, approval, and certification
• report unsafe conditions or damage
• may cut materials using a radial arm or panel saw.
