What you'll do

• Learn menus, recipes, preparation, and presentation
• organize prep priorities and quantities
• prepare ingredients and menu components
• cook and finish food for meals and events
• follow recipes, yields, portions, and presentation guidelines
• coordinate schedules and service needs
• check food quality and communicate concerns
• set up and maintain workstations
• record production details when required
• and keep work areas and equipment clean. May prepare food for the next shift or following day.
