The Experienced Tax Preparer role is hybrid in Colonial Heights, VA. Pay is $15–$20 per hour. Jackson Hewitt helps clients understand tax rules and processes and prepare accurate tax returns. The preparer conducts client interviews, prepares and files tax forms, answers tax questions, and provides audit support and future tax-planning guidance. The role also supports client retention and office operations while handling sensitive financial information confidentially.

What you'll do

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews
• explain, prepare, and complete tax forms
• e-file returns with the IRS and state agencies
• provide IRS audit support and tax-planning guidance
• answer client calls
• process payments
• support marketing and business growth
• mentor teammates as appropriate.
