Senior Cost Accountant

The Senior Cost Accountant role is onsite in Addison, IL, with a stated salary range of $90,000–$110,000 per year. The position partners with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership at ECOS, a manufacturer focused on sustainable products and green chemistry. The role maintains cost and inventory accounting, analyzes manufacturing costs and margins, and prepares reporting that supports budgeting, pricing, profitability, and operational decisions. It also supports close, audits, internal controls, and improvements to costing and reporting systems.

What you'll do

• Maintain standard costing systems and annual cost rolls
• analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
• monitor inventory valuation, reserves, and obsolescence
• reconcile inventory subledger and general ledger
• prepare cost reports and gross margin analyses
• support budgeting, forecasting, pricing, month-end close, plant performance analysis, continuous improvement, capital expenditure analysis, audits, GAAP compliance, ERP improvements, dashboards, and KPIs.
