Emergency Services Ranger — Part-Time

The Emergency Services Ranger role is onsite in Fort Myers Beach, FL, for 30 hours per week in a seven-day operation; 10-hour shifts and a combination of nights and weekend work may be required. What you'll do

• Patrol the Town’s jurisdiction from bay to beach
• document and report concerns and suspicious activity
• educate the public
• assist with traffic control, basic first aid, and emergency response
• coordinate with law enforcement on criminal matters
• support scene control and crowd management
• monitor municipal properties
• issue parking citations as needed
• address littering and safety concerns
• operate Town vehicles and ATVs
• and assist during hurricanes, evacuations, and recovery efforts.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, five years of community, public safety, or customer service experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license. FEMA ICS/NIMS training and Florida Parking Enforcement Specialist certification are required or must be obtained within the stated timeframes. Emergency duties may require working around the clock on short notice.
