What you'll do

• Measure and lay out work
• read blueprints and diagrams
• cut metal and boards
• mark cutting lines
• erect forms, frameworks, scaffolds, hoists, roof supports, or chutes
• fasten materials to metal frameworks
• bore bolt holes
• install rough door and window frames, subflooring, fixtures, or temporary supports.
