Roll Shop Production Operator

Job overview

The Roll Shop Production Operator role is onsite in Youngstown, OH, with pay of $24 per hour. Vallourec’s Roll Shop team supports steel production by preparing and maintaining mill tooling and stands. The operator prepares, assembles, disassembles, and re-machines tooling and related equipment to support production. The work contributes to safe, reliable operations through equipment maintenance, accurate quality records, communication about tooling issues, and participation in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC lathes and mills to re-machine rolls and tooling
• assemble and disassemble roll stands, gearboxes, and hydraulic components
• perform mechanical rebuilds and maintenance
• use hand and specialty measurement tools
• perform torch cutting and minor welding as needed
• clean and maintain work areas
• document measurements and quality data
• communicate tooling or quality issues
• rotate through shop positions
• participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.
