The Licensed Optician role is onsite at the Hyde Park office in Tampa, FL, with travel to other offices in Largo, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa Westchase as needed. The optician fits and dispenses glasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions, while supporting patients’ medical needs and the practice’s patient experience. The role combines patient guidance, optical measurements, order fulfillment, frame maintenance, and coordination with clinical staff.

What you'll do

• Promote frames and lenses recommended by doctors
• help patients select frames
• operate auto and manual lensometers
• educate patients about lenses, coatings, and frames
• take optical measurements
• dispense glasses and contact lens orders
• repair and adjust frames
• verify medical and vision insurance
• facilitate patient flow
• maintain frame inventory and presentation
• communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.

Why this role
