What you'll do
- Provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and practices within the clinical setting.
- Practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards.
- Performs testing to evaluate resident status and provides necessary care.
- Recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergent situations.
- Ensures resident health, comfort, and safety.
- Contributes to resident assessments and administers medications/treatments.
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes.
- Skilled in establishing effective working relationships.
- Works effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality.
- Counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
- Knowledgeable in resident education principles.

- Education
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program
- Experience
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program. Long term care, sub-acute care, medical/surgical experience preferred.
