The Caregiver role is onsite in Hoover, AL. Compensation is $14.25 per hour. The Crossings at Riverchase is a senior living retirement community focused on providing a welcoming environment for residents. The caregiver follows individualized care plans and assists residents with daily living, mobility, and activities. The role supports residents’ well-being by observing and reporting changes, documenting care, and providing assistance in accordance with community policies and applicable state regulations.

What you'll do

• Follow each resident’s individualized plan of care
• observe and promptly report changes in condition
• document daily care and red flags
• check and record vital signs or weights when assigned and permitted
• assist with bathing, oral care, toileting, dressing, positioning, and other daily living needs
• encourage and assist residents to attend activities
• support transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment
• provide transportation within the facility and sometimes accompany residents to outside appointments
• respond to urgent calls as assigned.

Why this role
