The role develops accurate project estimates and proposals from mechanical drawings and specifications. Its work supports bidding, budgeting, procurement planning, and the handoff of awarded project cost information to project management.

What you'll do

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and requests for proposals
• perform sheet metal quantity takeoffs
• prepare cost estimates, budgets, proposals, bid forms, and cost breakouts. Obtain material pricing, solicit and review subcontractor and vendor bids, monitor the bid calendar, attend scope reviews, assist sales with procurement strategies, and transfer estimating information to project management on awarded projects.
