Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery/OB, Nights

The Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery/OB, Nights role is onsite in Nome, AK, for a 13-week assignment. Compensation is $2,400–$2,600 per week. The assignment supports a tribally owned nonprofit healthcare organization serving communities in the Bering Strait region. The nurse monitors labor and maternal-fetal status, provides ordered medications and interventions, and supports safe stabilization and postpartum care. The role contributes to timely recognition of complications and coordinated care for patients during labor and delivery.

What you'll do

• Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate, contractions, and labor progression
• identify signs of complications
• perform basic IV and phlebotomy skills
• assess pain and assist with non-medication interventions
• administer ordered pain and other medications, including care involving Pitocin and magnesium sulfate
• monitor cervical progression and report to providers
• stabilize mothers and administer postpartum medication.
