The Licensed Preschool Assistant Director is a part-time, onsite role in Littleton, CO. Compensation is $20.85–$29.25 per hour. The position supports South Suburban Parks and Recreation’s early-childhood education and preschool programs. The assistant director coordinates daily program operations, maintains a safe and appropriate learning environment, supports curriculum and lesson planning, and helps supervise and train part-time staff. The role also works directly with children and parents and helps ensure compliance with applicable licensing and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Ensure compliance with Colorado and local licensing and health requirements
• develop curriculum and implement lesson plans and activities
• monitor program budgets and prepare reports
• maintain staff ratios and schedules
• assist with hiring, training, and evaluation
• inspect rooms and play areas
• communicate with parents, children, and staff
• support behavior guidance
• maintain records
• participate in meetings and training
• report suspected child abuse to authorities.
