The role supports Oshi Health’s cloud-native healthcare platform and its work serving people with chronic gastrointestinal conditions. As the company’s first dedicated senior security engineer, this hands-on role establishes and operates technical safeguards for applications, cloud infrastructure, identities, and sensitive health data. It also builds security into engineering and AI development workflows, helping the platform grow while managing security risks and supporting HIPAA safeguards.

What you'll do

• Own application and product security, including threat modeling and secure design and code reviews
• design security architecture for agentic software development workflows
• build and operate non-human identity and secrets management
• secure AWS services and infrastructure
• configure and tune security tooling
• review AI and third-party integrations before they access protected health information
• manage vulnerabilities and penetration-testing findings
• support HIPAA Security Rule technical safeguards
• establish detection and response capabilities and security automation.
