The Registered Nurse (RN), Days, Endoscopy role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Base pay is $37.33–$62.43 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications under the DC Nurses Association wage scale. Howard University Hospital is a teaching hospital on the campus of a Historically Black University. The Endoscopy RN provides patient care and preparation for procedures, collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team, and supports quality and performance improvement. The role also promotes patient safety through infection-control practices, medication procedures, and adherence to nursing standards.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to establish and revise care plans
• provide nursing care consistent with professional and institutional standards
• participate in performance improvement
• provide emotional and educational support
• prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, IV insertion, and lab collection
• follow infection-control and medication procedures
• serve in the rotational charge nurse role after the six-month orientation period with nurse manager approval.
