Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant role is onsite at the Huntsville Family Health Center in Huntsville, AL. Pay is $16–$20 per hour based on experience. What you'll do

• Triage patients and record vital signs
• document care in the electronic medical record
• complete patient paperwork
• assist providers with exams and minor procedures
• prepare patients and procedure areas
• administer medications and vaccines and perform waived lab tests or screenings upon competency assessment
• remove sutures, staples, casts, and splints
• schedule consultations and imaging
• respond to patient messages
• reconcile medications and allergies
• support quality initiatives
• maintain clean, stocked rooms and inventory.
