CNC Setup Technician

Job overview

The CNC Setup Technician role is onsite in Roscoe, IL. Compensation is $28–$35 per hour. The technician joins PBC Linear Bearings’ precision machining team and supports efficient production and part quality. The role exists to prepare CNC machines for production and maintain dimensional accuracy and process consistency. It supports production operators by setting tooling and offsets, inspecting parts, troubleshooting machining issues, and maintaining setup and production documentation.

What you'll do

• Set up CNC machines by installing fixtures, loading or verifying programs, and setting tooling
• perform tool changes, offsets, and process adjustments
• interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements
• conduct first-piece and in-process inspections with precision measuring equipment
• troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
• support machine operators
• monitor tool wear and process consistency
• maintain setup and production documentation
• follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
