SETA Engineering Development Program

Job overview

The SETA Engineering Development Program is a full-time, onsite, three-month program at Space Kinetic’s headquarters in El Segundo, CA. Compensation is $30–$42 per hour, based on the candidate’s highest completed degree. Space Kinetic is developing a new architecture for space operations and space missions. Participants support technical research and engineering analysis across mechanical systems, aerospace concepts, and astrodynamics-related projects. The program pairs participants with a mentor and assigns one to three projects, providing a pathway to potential long-term career opportunities based on performance, initiative, collaboration, and ownership.

What you'll do

• Support mechanical and aerospace engineering research
• perform parameter-driven analyses and develop white papers
• prepare engineering summaries, technical documentation, and presentations
• coordinate and follow up across technical teams
• analyze engineering data, system concepts, and design approaches
• participate in technical discussions and reviews
• support rapid research and problem-solving
• develop trade studies, pros-and-cons analyses, first-principles assessments, simulations, and models.
