Senior Composites Technician – 2nd Shift

The Senior Composites Technician – 2nd Shift role is onsite in Huntington Beach, CA. The stated pay is $34–$40 per hour, with a $1.50 shift differential for the entire shift; the shift starts at 2:00 PM. Layup Parts builds manufacturing technology for aerospace, defense, robotics, and other customers. The technician produces composite parts by preparing tooling, laying up materials, bagging and curing parts, and completing demolding and finishing work. The role also documents production activity and provides process-improvement feedback to engineering.

What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain tooling and molds
• place composite plies using templates, dimensions, or projection systems
• apply release film, peel ply, breather, and thermocouples
• build vacuum bags, perform leak tests, and run assigned cure cycles
• demold, trim, bond, and prepare bond lines
• document material usage, freeze/thaw status, cure data, and production activity
• provide process and design feedback to engineering.
