What you'll do

• Respond to patient phone calls and portal messages about billing, balances, payments, refunds, and accounts
• document interactions and next steps
• review accounts for balances, unapplied payments, credits, and refund eligibility
• explain payment options and plans
• follow up on patient accounts
• apply payments, adjustments, and insurance determinations accurately
• prepare and process refunds
• assist with insurance and claim questions
• coordinate with clinics and revenue-cycle teams
• follow HIPAA, PHI protection, and data-security policies.
