The physician evaluates and treats adult patients with acute and chronic needs, supports prevention and long-term disease management, and coordinates care with colleagues and specialists. The role also supports and supervises nurse practitioners and physician assistants to help deliver timely, reliable community healthcare.

What you'll do

• Assess adult health status
• perform examinations and document health histories
• identify immediate needs and referrals
• order diagnostic tests and procedures
• establish diagnoses and treatment plans
• provide patient education on acute needs, health promotion, and disease prevention
• consult with other health professionals
• participate in supervision of nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• follow safety and infection-control procedures.
