Mammography Technologist

The Mammography Technologist role is onsite in Scarborough, ME. Pay is $40–$55 per hour. Coastal Women’s Healthcare is an independent women’s healthcare practice focused on compassionate, high-quality patient care. The technologist performs mammography imaging and supports diagnostic review by preparing patients, obtaining quality images, and submitting them to radiologists. The role also supports patient education, documentation, safety, and coordination with outside facilities and the clinical team.

What you'll do

• Prepare and position patients for mammography
• explain procedures and support patient comfort
• perform imaging and adjust equipment and exposure settings
• review images for diagnostic quality
• maintain patient records in EMR systems
• follow infection control and radiation safety protocols
• educate patients on breast health
• obtain prior imaging
• support coding, billing, and administrative tasks
• maintain care areas and perform routine quality-control testing.

Why this role
