The Community Health Worker, Migrant Farmworker Populations role is onsite in Hendersonville, NC, with a seasonal schedule: Monday–Thursday 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from April through October; Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from November through March. Compensation is not specified. The position is part of Blue Ridge Health’s Community Outreach Team, supporting its mission to improve health through access to compassionate, affordable, quality care. The role serves as a liaison between Blue Ridge Health and migrant farmworker communities, connecting people with healthcare and community resources and providing education and screening support to improve health outcomes.

What you'll do

• Connect individuals to healthcare services
• provide basic health education and coaching
• assist with resource navigation
• help plan, organize, and staff community health education and screening events
• take basic vital signs and perform basic health screenings after training. Occasional weekends may be required.
