Employment Mentor

Job overview

The Employment Mentor role is onsite in Manitowoc, WI. Pay is $15–$16 per hour. Ascend Services provides employment support services to help participants retain jobs, develop vocational abilities, and pursue personal goals. The mentor implements individualized supports in work settings, helping participants build job performance, workplace relationships, and independence. The role also coordinates communication and documentation with the participant’s support network and responds to emergencies as needed.

What you'll do

• Participate in discovery with participants and the Employment Services Coordinator as needed
• implement supports in Individual Written Program Plans
• identify participant interests, strengths, and needs
• coach work performance and soft skills
• promote natural workplace supports and independence
• assist with inventory, timecards, quality standards, and safety
• communicate updates
• complete reports
• respond to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR/AED if needed.
